My partner is infected

My partner is infected with HPV, I am asking what are the chances of contacting the virus ( I am a man ) if we have protected sex?

Hpv can be transmitted skin to skin- so it is possible to transmit even with condoms.. also to the question but I guess I was wondering if it’s high risk or low risk. I would think it would be more common to transmit warts without condoms but high risk hpv can also infect vulva skin and the whole genital area so I would say yes even with condoms unfortunately

Depends on what hpv- does she have high risk hpv or warts just shown up? How long have you been together because it’s quite possible you already have the same hpv as your partner if you have been having sex. I’ve been with my partner for six years(I’m female) but was raped last year and just shown up I have high risk hpv- of course myself and partner weren’t happy about it. My doctor thinks it’s from the encounter which the guy did not wear protection- but then some doctors would say it could have been dormant and from one of the first people you’ve slept with. I did have unprotected sex with two guys but over seven years ago- ild like to think it’s from them or my bf over the rape but who bloody knows. Are you concerned about the cancer causing strains or warts? I understand the anxieties as I was exposed without consent so it’s really hard. I always feel like I’m infecting my partner and diseased but it doesn’t seem to bother him as much as it bothers me.
