Papilloma

What is the difference between condyloma and sqamous papilloma? My friend's 3-year old kid have squamous papilloma according to the biosy made. It was originally thought to be condyloma by two doctors. Now we want to understand the causes of the squamous papilloma so she can prevent it.

I don't know the difference between the terms sqamous papilloma and condyloma and whether they are used interchangeably. But sqamous papilloma is usually caused by HPV, an STD.

By the way, this is the biopsy report --

SPECIMEN:   PERIANAL MASS

GROSS:         The specimen consist of 2 irregular gray rubbery tissue fragments measuring 0.5 x 0.2 x 0.2 cm.  

MICROSECTION:      Microsection  show fibrovascular tissue core lined by hyperplastic epidermis exhibiting papillomatosis.  

DIAGNOSIS:   Perianal Mass: SQUAMOUS PAPILLOMA
