I am a 26 year old male. I just noticed this weird little bump near the back of my mouth. I guess it is on the inner cheek but it is very close to the upper furthest back molar. It is kinda white looking very small, less than a cm and appears to be more crescent shaped or like a half moon than round, almost like a skin tag, but it is white. It doesn't looks smooth to me. I am in a monogamous heterosexual relationship for the last 5 years and neither of us, to my knowledge, has genital warts. I have performed oral sex on very few women in my life, probably 4 before her with very limited frequency, like probably like once or two for each. Half of those girls I know I was their first sexual experience and in each case I know for certain there were no visible warts.
I have read varying things on this forum and elsewhere. On here, the doctor says that oral warts is uncommon in the non immune compromised but elsewhere it says oral papillomas are fairly common. The doc on here tends to suggest genital to oral transmission is hard, but elsewhere, including published scientific papers, say it is not that hard.
another thing, what about the latency period? could it have stayed latent for 4 or 5 years before presenting a wart?
