so where do I go from here?

I'm so confuse, ashamed, I feel like an idiot. My story is that I hooked up with a guy, not long after that and started dating a new guy, I was having issues downstairs. We figured it was a yeast infection, took antibiotics, then had a bladder infection or kidney (they never did give me a straight answer on that) went back on antibiotics. Still having issues, mostly when I wipe, I bleed a little and it feels very raw down there. Went in finally for a pap and got my results a little over a week later. They said my cells on the cervix came back normal, no infection, but I was positive for HPV. I was floored and begged to have more information and advice. When did I get it?? What now? I don't undertand, I had the vaccine a couple of years ago! I've never had my tests come back positive. My cells have been abnormal from time to time but not always and no one has ever said to worry about it. All the nurse could tell me was that there was nothing I can do, it was so common everyone gets it at least once and all we can do is have you do regular yearly paps (I was doing that already!) I'm afraid of talking to my boyfriend (the 2nd guy I started dating) What does this all mean? Am I going to have cancer? Am I able to have children? I need answers..please...

If you were sexually active before you got the HPV vaccine then you could've got it then. Sometimes it takes years to show up even in a pap smear. If you weren't sexually active when you got the vaccine then you could've gotten it at any point there after. No condoms do not protect from HPV. Cancerous HPV is very unlikely especially if the doctors said you didn't have any bad cells. There really isn't much to worry about when it comes to HPV because it does go away on its own. If you ever are to have a breakout then try to get medicine for it and avoid sexual activities until the doctor gives you the all clear. There are also home remedies that are said to work. Other then that you really can't do anything for it.

No, I don't have the warts as far as I know. I've had unprotected and protected sex but from what I read, condoms can't cover the entire area that the warts can be so you can still get infected but if you have condoms, it'll at least protect you from other STDs.
They didn't tell me what strand I had but I can do the process of elimination of what strands are covered by the vaccine. Apparently there are over 40 strands of hpv and the vaccine doesn't cover all of them. I do know a pap smere can find out if you have HPV, despite your sexual preferences. My doc didn't really tell me to do much but keep getting checked yearly. Also, if you have HPV, most cases it goes "away" so you don't pass it to someone else in about two years but it depends on your immune system. It never goes away but lies dormant,  meaning you could be clear after two years and then it might pop up again years later, that's why you have to get checked EVERY YEAR. Hope this helps....

Atleast u can have pap smear test. I doubt if I get anal hpv. So no pap smear for anal its really so much frustating. If u dont mind I just need to know whether u got hpv after protective sex or u did unprotected one. Coz I always did protected anal sex but still wonder if I hv hpv. Also plz tell if even if u hv hpv have u even had warts. Coz in my case I hv no warts. But how will I know if I hv hpv or not. I m dieing for some options n here u wont get ne advice coz I feel nobody bothers to even read. I know how u would be feeling but I even do not know if im infecting. Also what u do to get a negative pap if u ever get a positive pap. Did the doctor gave u ne medicines or just u raise up ur immune system. Did u ask doctor with ehich strain r u infected with. And what test they do to find out hpv strain. N also tell as from how many years u got the hpv. Ur answers will atleast give me some insite as what to do coz I hv no such facility in my place. Thankyou.
