Wouldn't think so. A rise in blood pressure due to excitement if that is what you felt is very temporary. A sustained rise is not going to result from that. What's your BP and when do you take it? You should take it a couple of times a day and write down the numbers and do it for a month or two. That would give you a good picture. Do it when you are relaxed.
