Groin pain after hysterectomy

I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy 8 weeks ago and I have had terrible pain in my groin and in my left leg. It even wakes me up at night! Ok honestly thought I would be completely fine by now! Also dealing with stomach pain and still swollen a little. I have no energy at all and this is just getting ridiculous! I told my doctor at my 6 week check up but she said I was just healing! This can’t be normal!!

I'm sorry you are dealing with this. A swollen belly at this point is pretty normal. Not sure about the stomach pain. Occasional pain or discomfort would be pretty normal at 8 weeks. But the pain should not be frequent or severe. "Terrible pain in my groin and in my left leg" does NOT sound normal. It could be nerve damage.  Unfortunately, some surgeons tend to dismiss any complaints that could be surgical complications. Be a "squeaky wheel" as this should be investigated. Best to you!
