Post-Op problems

ME............I've been ROYALLY SICK. ( Sunday April 27th) Running FEVERS up to 103!!!!!!!!!  SICK, HEADACHES, WEAK, EXHAUSTED.  Doctor on call perscribed a antiobiotic for what he thinks is an INFECTION from a OLD BLOOD CLOT that needs to pass that developed from surgery.  This I find out is the STUPID PRESSURE I've dealt with for days!!!!!!!!  WALKING, WALKING, WALKING.......  NOTHING YET.  I walked for 2 1/2 hours STRAIGHT because he said I needed to KEEP MOVING.  I went in for an emergency check up Monday and I DO have a blood clot that needs to pass.   He said if it doesn't pass it'll reobsorb into my body.  THIS DOESN'T SEEM RIGHT.  I still go to my surgeon Thursday.  Hubby took Monday off  to take care of me, because I've been SOOOOOOOOOOOOO SICK.  Going for a Cat Scan today Tuesday April 29th at 8:15am.  DRIVING MYSELF the 30 minute drive there and back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was doing SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD after surgery and ALL OF A SUDDEN 9 days later problems arise!!!

DOES ANYBODY KNOW ANYTHING........ABOUT BLOOD CLOTS after this surgery and DO THEY RE-ABSORB back into your body if they don't pass????????????

I'll write as I feel I'm able.

Hope you're ALL DOING well.  Don't even know if I have email or not.  Not up to reading my fever seems to be coming back EVEN WITH antiobiotic, 2 ibuprofen AND TYLENOL!!!!!!!!

Love and Blessings, Sharon

Hey my lady friends, :)

The Cat Scan showed I have an abscess with fluid around it.  The radiologist said the fluid is such a small amount HE WOULDN'T WANT TO BE THE ONE TO DRAIN IT, because it's too tricky.  Of course, I.....don't want to go through that, because he said I'd be AWAKE and TRUST ME I WOULDN'T DO WELL WITH THAT!!!  My doctor talked to the radiologist PERSONALLY himself ON THE PHONE and together they decided to best thing to do right now is keep with the antibotics.

Thing about the med's is......because of the fasting I had to do for the CT I missed my morning pill by 6 hours and took it as soon as I could.  Then 2 1/2 hours AFTER taking it I had a temp of 100.2 and I took 2 tylenol and it went to normal.  Then yesterday (Wed) I woke up with a temp 99.4 which is low grade.  MY NORMAL temp is 97.7 or 97.9, so a fever for me affects me quicker than others that run the normal 98.6 temp.  MY CONCERN IS.......  I only have antiobics until TONIGHT.  I see my surgeon today and I HOPE he gives me MORE AND SOMETHING STRONGER, because I SHOULDN'T be having ANY FEVERS on an antibotic!!!!!!!  The CT was to MAKE SURE that nothing else was going on and to see if it in fact was a blood clot.  The blood clot he was talking about isn't the one's you get in your vains from surgery, but in the OPEN AREA of where the surgery was done to remove my female parts.  This is why he said it would pass on it's own, so I'm told this is a TOTALLY DIFFERENT kind of blood clot that can develop.  I JUST DON'T WANT A REPEAT OF LAST WEEKEND.  Honest to God if I lived alone I would have stayed in bed and Died I was THAT.....SICK!!!!  My hubby was VERY CONCERNED by how I looked, acted and sounded, because my breathing was rapid until the fever went down.  It was HELL to have him hold me up to WALK AND WALK when I felt like death!!!!!!!  I kept crying and saying, "THIS IS SO CRUEL, THEY ARE SO CRUEL to have me walk."  My hubby was so upset and kept stopping to kiss me, because he didn't know WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN TO ME.

I will be SURE to keep you all posted.  I haven't had any more even low grade fevers since yesterday morning.

Love and Blessings to you ALL.......................  Sharon

HOPE YOU ALL ARE DOING WELL!!!!!!!!  I CAN'T WAIT TO GET THIS ALL RESOLVED AND GET BACK TO MYSELF AND GET BACK TO YOU ALL ON A REGULAR BASIS.  :)  BLESSINGS UPON EACH AND EVERYONE ON THIS SITE AND ALL THE OTHER SUPPORT SITES ON THE WEB.  :-D

You really should not be driving!  Let us know what happens.  I don't want to say anything to further worry you about this.  Get to the doctors, and see the surgeon if possible!
