Today I am 17 days post op. I suffered so much before surgery! Its scary! The day before I "numbed" myself by not reading emails & texts from well wishers or taking phone calls. There's lots of information on a website called hystersisters. I wish you peace.

Stay busy..occupy your time..set the house up for your return you will need lots of couch time ..rest , rest , rest so prepare,,Make quick meals that can be frozen and popped into microwave,,catch up on chores,,,make sure you have a ice pack helps alot w post op pain..stock up on what you like to do for leisure..crosswords, books , a few good tapes, etc..you wont want to do much but sleep for firs 5-7 days..if you have small kids or a dog. sleep with a pillow on belly.
becarefull about the narcotic pain meds...ask dr to prescribe stool softners..last thing you want after this operation is to be constipated.

3 weeks is a while do something nice for self..manicures,  hair cut, new clothes etc...go out to lunch with friends,,Be good to yourself.

hugs,

Cherie
