Gardasil 9 adverse health risks?

25m planning to get the hpv vaccines. I read that there are some nasty adverse effects, fainting, soreness, fever, etc. even death. Just how safe is this vaccine? It's giving me a bit of anxiety just from reading some of these articles.

Gardasil ils one of the most studied vaccines on the market.  Before it was licensed, it went through multiple clinical trials and, unlike a lot of vaccines was tested against not one, but three different placebos to determine safety and efficacy.  Australia has been a real leader in the campaign to get both young men and young women vaccinated against HPV, and they are set to eliminate HPV-related cervical cancer in a few years.

If you're leaning toward declining this vaccine, which prevents very painful and deadly cancer, please do have a look at the treatment procedures and outcomes of having cervical cancer.  Those are very real and very unpleasant.

Hello~If you are worried about the side effects, etc, then talking to your doctor will help to ease your concern, he/she will probably have some sheets about it, or maybe they would even copy a little about it out of their PDR manual. Also, possibly a pharmacist would be able to shed some light on the subject.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Thanks for the question.  In general, the literature is very favorable regarding the Gardasil vaccine.  Please speak to your doctor about it. They should also provide a fact sheet of potential side effects.  You will likely need three doses of it since you are older.   https://www.cdc.gov/hpv/parents/vaccine.html  The CDC recommends the vaccine for young adults.  And the side effects are mild if you experience them at all.

Probably the most reported is muscle pain for a day or two after.  Ibuprofen can help with that.
