Rabies Vaccine Side Effects

I received the post exposure HRIG and vaccine set and am
experiencing horrible side effects. I am a week out but first had tingling in my arms and legs-was advised to continue. I know have significant head pressure, pressure within my ears and difficulties swallowing. I also have the “head fog” and fatigue that many have described. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar, how long they took to subside and also if there is anything that may have assisted in relief. Thank you so much in advance for your help!

Ugh, I'm so sorry you had to have this vaccine.  It's pretty hard on your system, though obviously less so than getting rabies.  If you are under the care of a physician and they told you to continue, then of course that's the best advice.  The list of possible adverse reactions is pretty long, but it seems like your symptoms fall into the range of what is known to be possible: https://www.mayoclinic.org/drugs-supplements/rabies-vaccine-intramuscular-route/side-effects/drg-20069868

The CDC site isn't a whole lot of help and only recommends OTC pain relief: https://www.cdc.gov/rabies/specific_groups/doctors/adverse_reaction.html  That probably won't help with the tingling, head fog, and fatigue.

I don't know exactly how long these should last, but when is your last injection scheduled?

Thank you so much  for taking the time to respond, it is greatly appreciated. My last vaccine was over a week ago, and I have seen some fluctuation of the side effects since this post as well. They are fairly steady and constant, but I have noticed a decrease on occasion so am hopeful they may all pass soon. I’ve also began utilizing OTC pain meds daily which do help tremendously the constant headache. I’m honestly very surprised at the impact this vaccine has had, as I have never had a single adverse reasction to any vaccine and have received numerous over the years during my travels. Thank you again for your response, I found the link to the Mayo Clinic site to be quite helpful also!
