How about.......

A live community chat room (or rooms)?  I notice a lot of people are online at the same time in various forums (and answering questions at the same time) and it might be nice to have a chat room for LIVE/real-time discussions.  You could start off with a few generic chat rooms and see how that goes - perhaps pregnancy/maternal, mental health, general medical, social etc.

Hi,

Right now the MedHelp Social community located at http://www.medhelp.org/forums/show/299 is as close to this as we have. Live chat is something we always look at, we just haven't decided if it's something we can do just yet.

Hmmmmmm - the only way around that would be to have the live chat room at a certain time with a moderator present that can take control if the need arises - maybe something a CL could do?

I havent checked out your journal in awhile peek.  It takes a LOT to offend me!

They've talked about this from time to time, but one problem is moderating it.  It could be a nightmare.

They started the Med help Social Community as a sort of compromise.

I hope my journal isn't bothering you!  I get strange ideas.  Let me know if it is!
