User Friendly Trackers

On the food tracker: it would be helpful if one can edit a food item inside a meal to change amounts on that food item without having to replace the entry.
(eg. you have a meal with Ketchup and French Fries and you put in only 1 tbs of Ketchup when you had 4 tbs. As it is now you have to add the Ketchup entry again and say 4 tbs then it will replace the original 1 tbs entry. It works but if you did not add a food to your dairy it is sometimes hard to find the same food item again. If you could just click edit on the Ketchup entry and change the amount from 1 tbs to 4 tbs it would be easier and faster.)

On the menstrual tracker: it would be nice if one could put time of day on the entries and have multiple entries in one day.
(eg. I want to track the flow trend during a day, heavier in the morning than evening. As it is now you can not do that, you have one entry for a 24 hour period. As with the meals tracker you can say what time and have as many entries as you want.)

On the weight tracker: It would be nice if you could add a measurement of your own. (eg. if you have one leg larger than another and want to track both individually. Or you want to track bust, fingers, forearm, 2nd waist, single thighs. as well as the current options.)

On the weight tracker: it would be nice if you could, in essence, zoom out and see your weight trend over a longer period of time at once, or even since you started tracking. So when I want to print out the last 6 months of my weight tracking, I can, instead of the last month and a half as it is now. It would also make it easier to see your goal, and the goal trend line.

It would also be nice to be able to compare trackers, for example, my menstrual tracker with my weight tracker. Or my mood tracker with my food tracker.

Hi Marilyn774 -

You can use grams for the serving size. It would just mean that 1 serving size is X grams.  I've uploaded a pic so you can see this - http://www.medhelp.org/user_photos/show/422171?personal_page_id=348931

When you want to edit a food item within a meal, is this to change something like the serving size? I'll pass that on to our developers for you.

I would also really like to see the feature of being able to edit an individual food item within a meal without having to delete and re-add them.  This would save so much time.

I would also like to have the option of using a gram (g) measurement added to the serving size options when adding foods to "My Foods" list.  I just think grams is more accurate than a measuring cup or spoon measurement, especially when dealing with foods that can vary depending how they are cut or chopped.

Thanks for all the great suggestions. We already have the zoom in/out of trackers view and the compare trackers view on our list of to-do's. These seem like they would be very popular with our users.

The ability to edit items in your meals without having to delete and re-add would be a great enhancement to the food diary. We'll add it to our list of to-do's.

For your suggestion on the menstrual tracker and body measurements on the weight tracker, we'll add these to our list of to-do's, but we'd like to hear from other members who would also be interested in these features. If they're very popular with other members, we'll bump up the priority.

Thanks,
