Hi and sorry you have this problem.
Have you taken any of these worms or things to the doctor that you have killed so they can send them to the laboratory for identification? It could be some kind of parasite. Have you been out of the country? If so where.
Can you get a picture of one and put it on here so I can take a look at it?
Have you had any fevers? Been walking barefoot in dirt or sand along the beach or anywhere? If so what state?
I am not HIV positive but I am Beyondtheendoftherope as well.
And ready to lasso a few Drs with that rope.
No one will take me seriously! You have just described my systems to a T
Each Dr I go to tells me it's stress or I need a psyche eval.
The pinpoint pain & crunching that moves in my head is debilitating!
I've been to the ER twice. I've had MRI found cerebral aneurism had it coiled and the worm or worms under my scalp continue! Sometimes even Shuts my eye.
Everything else you say is the same with me. I've gotten a July 7th appt with infectious cease but in the meantime the pain is debilitating! I can't believe Im supposed to just live with this.
I need a biopsy of scalp but can't get a dr to take me seriously! I say worm and they can't look me in the eye. This knocks my equal Librium off and I CAN NOT FUNCTION I have a 12 yr old daughter!
I'm either going back to ER, walking into a clinic or calling the media! No one should have to live like this!
I've dealt with this for 10 yrs. I feel your pain. I'm sorry. Look up MORGELLONS
I have been dealing with this for 6 years on and off. Doctors wrote that I am imagining and that I am suicidal. :(
I figured it out what to do to get doctors to take you seriously when talking about worms crawling all over you. I suggested to a close friend of mine to tell his doctor that he had a roommate that was just diagnosed with two worms (pinworm & Strongyloides) and he was immediately referred to labs to give stool samples. Try it, but you may need to go to another clinic.
I, on the other hand, have been treated like I am crazy, on drugs, suicidal, imagining things, etc for the past 7 years. Finally last month I contacted CDC and Director of CA Health Department without mentioning my doctor or clinic. After gathering some valid information I decided to give to my new doctor one last chance. I sent him an Email with a request to be referred to infectious diseases specialist, which he is not, although working at HIV clinic. I guess he decided not to do the same as RNP who I had 7 years ago as a primary provider, and he referred me to inf. diseases specialist. On Friday evening before my appointment, I pulled out of my anus about two inches long flat thing that was moving. I put it in a glass to take it with me to my appointment, but then I changed my mind as I didn't want any deja-vu situations (when 7 yrs ago the dermatologist was taking pictures on his iPad from 3 ft away and never came closer and took any samples of the skin). Then on Sunday evening, my face felt like a nest of things crawling under the skin into my mouth, eyeballs, ears, etc. Usually, I would be able to stop them with Iodine or Tea Tree Oil or Apple Cider Vinegar, but not that night. I thought that that may be caused because of my constipation when all of a sudden I had to go. For some reason, I decided to shine a LED flashlight in the bowl like I was doing daily 7 years ago. I saw small white things starting emerging slightly from the stools. I took my phone and took pictures.
At my appointment the next morning I mentioned some white and transparent stuff observed in my stools the night before in addition to my face being covered in a severe rash. She asked if I took any photos of it and I have shown her my phone. Instantly she diagnosed me with being infected by pinworms and Strongyloides, which a person can get from eating infected lettuce or potato (usually from Latin America). She prescribed Albenza Oral Tablet 200 MG (2 pills twice a day for 7 days), and Fluconazole 100MG for at least 3 months. I have finished Albenza two days ago. In two weeks I need to get my stools tested for parasites and yeast/fungal infection again, which I am sure will be there. I might have eliminated some of the ones in the colon, but my face, crotch, and feet feel even more infested now. Since because of infectious diseases doctor is on vacation until June, I decided to try to add some help to this cure myself by starting with supplements and zapping . It helped me 7 years ago (together with a strict Candida diet). Let's see if this nightmare ever really end while I am still being alive.
Feel free to contact me for more info or suggestions.
I am intending to inform CA Health Department that over the last 7 years I might have unknowingly infected several dozens of others just because I was constantly being told that I am imagining and that diseases like that do not exist... So, with time I believed them and tried to get into sexual encounters, which took at least a day if not more of preparation as I felt like I wouldn't be able to get fully clean and enjoy sex whenever possible. Therefore if I planned I went wild. That wild action most likely spreads these worms around. :(
So sorry that there seems to be so much suffering regarding these protean (NOT protein) signs and symptoms.
A majority of the list appears to be psychosomatic in origin. I've never heard of one ailment that would include so much.
Here are my suggestions: The only medical thing I know of that might cover some of the problems is larva migrans, which is actually a real parasitic worm. You mentioned ivermectin, which in proper dose for proper ailment works about 75% of the time. But you need advice, and follow-up.
Go see a competent dermatologist. But first give his/her office a comprehensive list of signs and symptoms. He/she will have to have a lot of patience and time to deal with and recognize the Munchausen Syndrome parts of your complaints.
If you can't get help with a competent dermatologist, following directions to the letter, then I respectfully recommend you see a really competent psychiatrist (not psychologist, but MD-psychiatrist), in conjunction with a smart internist.
If you, in fact, do have HIV or other inter-current actual, proper diagnoses, then of course you need to have them followed/treated as well.
