Cholera

If one has a severe case of cholera and no treatment, and has gone into shock ... and if some miracle were to pull them through ... what would be (on average) the length of time from the onset of shock until the person is well enough to walk and eat again ...?

Once shock sets in, there's nowhere to go but down. The miracle would be death,sooner than later.
