mystery itching (contagious)

I am itching like crazy,there is no sign of parasites or bites.It seems to get worse at night.When I am around other people,they begin to itch also,mostly on their face,neck,hair,ears,and nose.This happens at work,in line at stores,I make the people in the waiting room itch and some actually change seats to move away from me.My general physician had no answer and gave me PERMETHRIN 5 percent and said to apply neck down and leave on for 12 hrs. every 3 days and i did this 3 times.It helped the first time(I thought)but not the next 2.I went back to doctor and suggested to apply more daily.He decided I should see a dermatologist and I saw 2,both said there is no evidence of parasites and ignored my suggestion that I am contagious.They both perscribed antihystamines and hydracortizone.I am itching slightly less but still make anyone I come in contact with itch like crazy.I have laundered all items daily,covered matresses and pillows with bed bug and allergen covers,changed all soaps to free and clear types,put majority of clothing and linens in large garbage bags,and done numerous home remedies plus anything and everything suggested in forums.The last place I lived had a very bad mold issues but this didn't start until almost a year after leaving.The itching feels like flea bites sort of but I have no pets or visible bites.I don't know where else to turn.Please help in any way you can.I am at the end of my rope and don't want other people to be infected or go through what I have experienced.Thank you and I will appreciate any small advice you may have.

look at the PATM (people allergic to me) forum on this site. PERMETHRIN will not always kill nano technology .

Same problem. People around me just itch and scratch and even catch what I have. It is awful to see people in pain especially when it is my fault. I believe it might me a fungal infection releasing spores cause us to itch. But would doctors go out of their way to make a new anti fungal medication for this problem.

Oops.... Continued!  These people were within 10 feet of me.  I feel horrified watching this happen.  I purposely don't scratch in front of people to make sure my scratching isn't causing a psychological itch response in others.  This thing is real.  Naturally my PCP said it was likely in my head and gave me some antibiotics.  I hoped he was right but I can't shake this itch and it is contagious.... I'm not imagining other people itching.  At first I thought I perhaps had a demodex mite infestation but there is now way they could transfer that quickly.  Also, I did see a dermatologist and went through scabies treatments as well.  Could it possibly be a skin fungus releasing spores that others are allergic to?  Or perhaps a virus I am exhaling or shedding?  I'm struggling to fathom how I am infecting others but it makes me feel awful.  I've seen a few people here and there on the net speak of this.  If anyone has any answers please help!

Perhaps other people itching or scratching when you do, is it similar to being around someone yawning and if you look around, everyone is yawning?  It's amazing what people do unconsciously, and since it can't be your soap since you have changed almost everything, and your doctors can't find anything, you may be allergic to something where you live.  Do you work?  Perhaps there is something there that is causing an allergic reaction such as itching.

I know itching can drive one nuts.  I wish you the best of luck, and I think other people scratching  are just doing it subconsciously if you are scratching yourself all the time.  Sounds like an allergy type thing.  Do you find your nose running or eyes swollen and itching.  I just figured out I am allergic to my face lotion, any lotion, cheap or expensive.  My eyes turn bright red and my face itches all the time.
