Fifths Disease in adults and itching

My child was diagnosed with fifth disease a few days ago.   I also developed a lacy rash on my arms.  The rash lasted a few days and a few days later, I began to experience severe itching from head to toe.  I also experienced swollen hands and feet and joint pain a week after the rash.  All my symptoms have subsided, except the itching, which has now lasted for 11 days.   Could this intense itching be a symptom of fifths disease?  And how long do fifths disease symptoms typically last in adults?

Thank you

Hello. Thank you for yoru question.

Pruritis, or intense itching, can occur in the first week after being infected. Rash and joint pain often occur in second week. Typically the body is able is able to mount an immune response 10 to 14 days after infection, at which point the viremia (virus in blood) resolves.
