Advice please!

I've had encopresis for the last 16 years that eventually turned into chronic IBS I've not passed stool for 7 months.... Ive had every combination of laxative, Suppository, enima and Water irrigation over and over again. I've tore my anus twice trying to fix this and stayed in hospital for weeks at a time and none of it seems to be working I keep going in circles, I've seen doctors from all over the country and no body seems to be doing anything different. Is there any other options for me. I'm willing to do anything as long as it's not the same thing I've done for the last 16 years. I want to be prepared when I eventually confront my doctor.

Helo and welcome to the forum.  Gosh, 7 months since a bowel movement?  I'm sure that is concerning your caregivers. There is something that may have already been mentioned to you and that is Botox.  They inject Botox to the pubarrectalis muscle one time and this has been shown in one to three weeks after to greatly improve similar issues. https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02160288  This article also mentions biofeedback therapy as helpful.  How are you doing? This sounds like it must control your life.

It's completely debilitating mentally and physically. I have to plan my life and finances around it as I can't keep down a job with said conditions. Self esteem and confidence is non existent. Skin sores, nappy rash, practically live in adult nappies these days and I'm only 24 :( the pain it causes is unreal and I'm terrified I'm ammune to all the painkillers and ibs meds I use daily to try gain a small amount of control. I'm not being listened to and feel mad at the world.
