Bright red blood in stool and small stools

For the last year I have had problems with my stools.  What could be the problem with bright red blood along with mucus in my stools.  My stools has seemed not right either.  They are quit small and never feel like I have emptied my stool when I do go.  Can someone give me any suggestions.

Anytime you have blood in your stools for any period of time it is best to have it checked.
I have problems with hemroids at times. The dr said if it was bright it would be near the opening, dark is further up, which could mean it could be far as the colon. You would usually feel discomfort with hemroids unless they are really small. It would be best to go to your dr. and have him check it out. You could have a polps (however you spell it). There is really no way to know for sure without an examination. It is always better to be safe. Let us know how things go.  RJ

Have you been checked by a gastrenologist? It could e foods you are eating that are not digesting. Meaning tomatoes or anything red in color. Or there could be an underlying condition.

Try not to concern yourself unless you have had sever weight loss, or fevers.

Get it checked out. early intervention can be the prevention.
