Hello

When I visited the doctor a few years ago about my IBS, he prescribed me colofac which I found were ok. Recently after a bad flare up a new doctor prescribed me Mebeverine which I find brilliant but I hope I don't have to take them forever although she has put them on repeat prescription for me.
I wold agree with lagoya though, ask your doctor as they will know whats best for you and your IBS symptoms.

just to say first when going to try any meds prescription or non prescription you should discuss this with your doc or pharmacist as most meds for ibs or otherwise can cause a bit of both depending on your own personal body make up hence discussing this with your doc is a great place to start
having said that tried both and i found  colofac the better for spasms .light exercise is always good to relax
