Finally not alone

I've been searching and finally found this page to see that I am not alone in my symptons, and share most with everyone here. It makes me happy to know I'm not alone but find it most saddening that everyone here suffers also and some worse than others. I was only diagnosed a month ago after I was being treated for H-pylori and took the strong antibiotics. Before that I managed fine with Nexium in what only seemed like acid reflux, four days into treatment and all these symptoms occured. After about another 4 days of flushing out what I had taken I started to improve but I was bed ridden for about a week straight with constant nausea, swollen stomache and an elephant jumping up and down on it, cold shakes, no appetite, no vomit really just some dry heaves, and acid felt like it was turning my stomache inside out, but strangely I also had frequent urination. When I would feel just a little better and take a sip of water even that would set my stomache off into "cursing me out". As a single mom of three I felt helpless. I went and got a endoscopy which only showed a little spot of which I am waiting for results of the biopsy. The doctor wants to put me on a antidepressant to help with stress (which I will say I have learned does play a factor in "setting off" a "bad" day for my stomache) and the medicine also has a pain killer, it's something that's also used to treat RA and such. I am not keen at all about taking something mind altering, I told him I would take my chance on Nexium again and prehaps it was all a bad reaction to the medicine plus I would be giving my cares (stress) to the Lord.  After a stressful day two days ago It was set off again so sadly it wasn't just the medication I once had. Now I've come down with a cold turned bad and afraid I may need antibiotics again.  One thing that does seem to make the diffrence with my bowls is probiotics, but not just any probiotic though because I've take the regular capsules and that didn't help whatsoever, i take the maxium strength with the extended 3 step release. It has a coating that lasts through your saliva and stomache acid and releases in your bowls, that does a world of good for me, CVs has a brand of their own...it comes in a hard pill the size of a pea in an aluminum punch pouch, not a bottle. Hope this can help someone out, i will be back on to try and finish reading everyones posts... so glad to found you all!

Hi, and welcome to this forum. The frequent urination could indicate a urinary tract infection. This can be diagnosed by urine routine and urine culture. Discuss with your doctor regarding this. And natural yogurt could help with your digestive issues. Its a probiotic which will not have any untoward effects and is effectively absorbed. Regards.

I felt the same when I found the group here.  I also have IBS, plus Fibromyalgia and Hiatal Hernia.  This makes my life nuts most of the time.  I'm also very difficult to medicate, as I also have Trigeminal Neuralgia which I take Tegretol for.  This med has caused me a lot of trouble.  Not only is it a mind-altering med that often used by psychiatrists, it has caused fatty deposits on my liver.

I am a veteran and I am trying to find the links/causes of such illnesses.  I am at odds with the VA to get approved for disability.  I feel this onset was caused by Gulf War Illness and exposure to chemicals, breathing burning feces and garbage, and hazardous injections/pills for deployments to the Middle East.
