IBS or not?? Please help, totally fed up :(

I have been back and forth to the doctors for over 4 years now, I have learnt to live with the pains I get but it still upset me that the doctors say there is nothing they can do... And just say it's IBS.

Every 12 weeks I get 1 whole week of lower abdominal pain. In this 1 week I get servere pain in the morning/afternoon/evening/night each lasting around 30mins. After the 30min pain goes, I feel near enough like normal just with a little tenderness. I feel there is no triggers, like food/stress/tiredness as I will get the pains no matter what, sometimes going to the toilet that helps a little to relieve the pain but I don't feel constipated as I go regularly.

I am an active 25year old, good diet, non smoker.

Any help, advice would be amazing.

I have IBS and get a flare a few times a year. I get bad stomachaches and flank pains. Doctor has me take hyoscamine sublingual. I find that stress, alchohol and caffeine are what aggravates it.

I was suffered from Ibs 2 years. Now have cured  it myself. If you sure you are suffering from IBS and no other midical problems, I am sure you cam cure it by doing following things. 1. Dont drink water at least for 30 min after having meal. Ideally 1 hr is best. You can have one swip of water if you condt control.2. Eat at least two cucumers per day. Chew it until it becomes jelly. 3.Dont put pressure on stomach and dont sit for longer times. 4. Take fiber rich food. Walking least 30 min per day is important. 5. Dont prefer to sleep on sides. 6. Most important thing, when you feeling to go toilet dont stop it even for minute.

have you been checked for endometriosis? I spent years trying to figure out what was wrong and I did...it was endometriosis but at 13 years of  seeking help from clueless Dr.'s it was extensive and so I have had to have a bowel resection and am still struggling not with the disease but with the aftermath of the disease and mismanagement of the disease...so might be worth investigating...
