Bad smell, polycystic kidney disease

Hello,

I am 35 years old and have a big problem. I don't really no why, but I started to feel bad smell on my skin and hairs. It's strong, like amonium or something like that, I'm not sure.

I take a bath three times a day, sometimes even more. Nothing helps.
I had a brother and a sister, who died a few month after birth. They had many problems wiht heart, and abdominal organs and also polycystic kidneys a polycystic liver.  I do not no, if I have that as well. I have sometimes high blood pressure (once even 199 systolic) , but not very often, usually is my blood pressure normal ore even low!

I don't get any medication. I don't use contraceptivs, I never drink alcohol and don't take any drogs. My blood sugar is O.K.

I also have some problems with bloating, but this is probably not that important. I'm realy scared about this bad fetor, which I cannot wash away. I am light-skinned, there are no gypsies in the familly history.

There is also something, what I don't no, if it can have some influence too. I use a couple of month ago for my hair an optical brightener, which probably contains a little bit of ammonium. (My hairs are naturally blond, but now they are a little more lighter.)  But I had this problem already before that! And it was already more than two month ago.

How long does it take, to get away the ammonium of the hair by using the brightener?

The other problem is, the I can feel this smell of ammonium also on my skin. Even during taking the bath today.
(Today I stand up first at 8:00 a.m. and took a bath, washed my hairs. Then I noticed, that my appointment was cancelled, so I went back to sleep for 3 hours, because I was so tired. After 3 hours I stand up again, took up again a bath, this time I didn't washed my hairs, just my body, so the water couldn't  be washed up from my hairs to  my body. And during the bath I felt this strange smell of ammonium - or what it is- on my skin.

_______________________________________

There is also something else. If I eat some kinds of food, this smelling problem of my skin can be worse. So if I eat for instance kiwi, I get a really bad smell, which is extremly strong.

I dont told about this to any doctor. It is too embarrassing for me.

Has anybody problems like this???

Hello, I too am having some interesting health concerns that I'm currently undergoing consultations with urology. I had a "surprise" kidney infection in May, so bad, I thought I was going to pass... I was vomiting nonstop and a mucus like diarrhea. After a 3 day hospital stay I was feeling better, but confused as to why I had NO symptoms. My CAT Scan reported the presence of Bilalateral Extrarenal Pelvises. I TOO, SUFFER FROM THE AMMONIA SMELL.... after I sleep I wake up smelling like a cat litter box. It's repulsive. I looked it up and I was told on many sites that in your diet if there aren't enough carbs your body burns the Protien, resulting in the smell. I have read many reports of people excercizing, Yoga etc. smelling the same thing. Good Luck.. Everyone!

I also have the same disease, go see a urologist. Every now and then I smell bad too. once a month I've been soaking in the tub with 1/2 cup of baking soda and 1/2 cup of lemon juice for about 30 to 40 mins. It has helped me but the truth is even tho I've manage the smell I'm still sick. Go see a kidney specialist and a urologist, you shouldn't be embarrassed when it comes to your heath. I took to long and now my condition is getting worse, don't make the same mistake please.

I want to add, that I don't smoke, have every day bowel movement, don't eat to much spicy foods, wear every day clear clothes. I take a special care for the personal hygiene.  Unfortunately nothing helps enough.
