Creatinine 2.5, GFR 33

My 21 year  old son told me these numbers from his doctor. All I can find is bad news. I am hoping this may be something benign. Is it possible this is something other then CKD? He has had declining creatinine since 2011 along with blood in his urine and urine is frothy.  I am sure hoping someone can give me some other reason. If it is CKD how fast does this usually progress?

Hi,there. I’m so sorry to hear that. He is so young. The CKD reflects the filtration rate of glomerular that shows kidney function. The current presumptive diagnosis is the third stage of CKD. The disease progress depends on the type of primary disease of kidney failure, and it also closely related with patient’s diet, habit and treatment. The key mean of slowing down CKD development is that decrease kidney pathological damage. Now, he should standardize his life habit, diet, sleep and other healthy life style. Meanwhile, an appropriate treatment method also is quite important. You can know something about Funeng Therapy that will promote blood perfusion and slow down the kidney pathological damage.

Hi,
I understand your concern regarding your son's result. The glomerular filtration rate is a test that is used to assess how well the kidneys are working.  As mentioned from the other post, it is important that  he regularly checks with his  attending physician or nephrologist for proper management.  Observation and  control of blood pressure and risk factors are important during this time is done.  Take care and do keep us posted.
