Ureteral Stent removal with prostate obstruction

I am about to have a 1cm x 1cm kidney stone blasted. However my concern is that they described in my operative notes that my prostate was obstructing my urethra during the placement of the stent. Will they still take the stent out in the office with only local Anastesia? I'm terrified of the removal as I have had excruciating pain with just catheters at times when I have needed those. I am worried about the pain with having my prostate causing an obstruction. I want the removal done with general Anastesia. Is this a possibility?
