kidney infection

How long should a severe kidney infection last? I have had it for 5 weeks now and still having a hard time recovering. Still sometimes have chills and fever, night sweats and very fatigued. I have taken omnicef and taken all of it.

hi just looking for some help i keep getting kidney infections i have had 5 in the last 16 weeks and i am just over a week of more pills and its still there i had a hysterectomy 18 weeks ago but i had a few infections befor that my doctor just keeps giving me pills , i am sick of talking them i am so tried all the time not sleep well if any has any comments ,,,, thank you all tina

What does the pain from your kidney infection feel like? My daughter has an, as yet, undiagnosed kidney problem. She said it feels like both of her kidneys are on fire. Is yours anything like that?
