Gadolinium

Are they still using this dangerous medium from renal nuclear contrasts?  My doctor wants to do both a kidney ultra sound and  nuclear renal scan.  Just because when I am in his office, my blood pressure raises.  I am going to allow the ultra sound. But if this product is still being used. (outrageous if it is) then I will refuse the test. I do not really want any dyes or medium in my body unless there is a known reason for such a test.
thank you for any help.  My doctor just said,  that sometimes there could be a kidney stone or other blockage causing the high unresolved blood pressure. I have not even been checking it at home. For all I know it could be just white coat high blood pressure. I have no symptoms of kidney disease.  My urine is clear.

Now the doctor said he would prefer the renal contrast scan. I refused.  My blood pressures have been normal at home.  I am not subjecting myself to a renal contrast scan.  I have seen too many dangerous side effects from these contrast materials.
Does any doctor know what they are using for a renal contrast scan now.  I keep
seeing lawyers asking for clients who have had a renal scan with horrific side effects.

It turns out I am only getting an ultra sound of my kidney.  And when I am not stressed my blood pressure is closer to normal.  I think doctors call for too many expensive tests. They must be getting kick backs.
