Recently, my blood urea = 45 mgs%  ;  Serum Createnine =1.1
My doc suggested Kidney Droppler Ultrasound But result came OK.

Hi,

Urine test showed normal results, minimal protein, white blood cells and  red blood cells. This rules out presence of infection or proteinuria.  Your 24 hour collection shows normal amount of 1700 ml (Normal volume 800-2000 ml). However, the normal values of albumin in 24 hours is less than 30 milligrams (mg). When your kidneys do not work well and leak between 165 and 300 mg of albumin in 24 hours, your doctor may check your urine more often to watch for kidney damage. It is good that the urea results has improved to 30 ( normal adult values is 7-25). It would be best to see your doctor for monitoring and don't forget to bring the results for reference. Take care and keep us posted.

Thanks Dr for the advice,
As advised, I got my Urine tested for normal & for 24 Hrs. I am reproducing the results from the reports..
1) Urine Micro Albuminuria   80 mg/L ( I understand the limit is 20 mg/L)
(Method Nephelometry. Done on TURBOX + Protein Analyser.)
2) 24 HRS Urine Protein:        -Total Vol = 1700 ml
                                            - Urine Albumin (mg %)          13.00
                                            - 24 Hrs Urine Albumin (mg)    221   { 0.22 gm }
3) Examination of Urine:
  a) Physical Examination:             Reaction: Normal
  b) Chemical Examination :            -  Albumin     =  Nil
                                               -  Sugar         = Nil
                                               - Bile Salts     = Negative
                                               - Bile Pigment= Negative
  c)Microscopic Examination       - Pus cells        = 1-2 / Hpf
                                                - Epithetial cells =  1-2 / Hpf
                                                - Red Blood cells = Nil
Also my repeat blood test showed = Urea = 30 mgs%  &  Serum Createnine =1.1
                           (Last month results were= 45 & 1.1 resply)
Kindly advise.

Hi
How are you? The effect of dietary protein restriction on kidney disease is the subject of debate. If you have hypertension, diabetes, or coronary disease, it is important that you control these  to prevent further deterioration of your kidney function. smoking cessation and adequate nutrition are also important.  It would be good to check for proteins in your urine and know the glomerular filtration rate to assess the degree of kidney function impairment. Thanks Dr,
Do I need to do dietery changes eg..Eat lesser Protein ?
Are medications available to cure `Decreased kidney function'?

It indicates a decreased kidney function. Please ask your doctor to carry out repeated microscopic urinalysis and 24 hour urine collection if there's protein involved.

How are you? It's good to know that your kidney doppler ultrasound is ok.
Creatinine and blood urea nitrogen (BUN) are waste products that the kidneys normally remove from the blood. If the kidneys are not working properly, these substances may build up in the blood. Elevated creatinine and blood urea nitrogen levels are likely evidence of decreased kidney function. Additional tests to evaluate your kidney function better may include glomerular filtration rate as well as urine tests to check for protein or red blood cells.

I hope this helps. Take care and keep us posted.
