What is causing this terrible pressure and pain in my pelvic area and when urinating?

I have severe anklosing spondylitis and take a lot of prescription and prescription pain medicine, recently I have been experiencing a lot of pelvic pressure and intense pain towards the end of urination. I am a 53 year old female and I  had a complete hysterectomy when I was 41. What could this be...I am in pain 24/7 and this is causing me more pain

omg my heart goes out to you both !!!  Anyways i too have been having uretha pains , and what you both described is what exacly i feel . makes you wanna come off the toilet screamming . and it makes you shake all over . i also had a hysterectomy done about 6 months ago . and yes the dropped bladder was going through my mind , ive taken 2 uti home kits  both came out neg.  ive taking azo for uretha pain, but first dose worked  after that it stopped . still felt the pain.  now im feeling a buldging burning sensation under my left bottem rib area , with hip and flank burning . so now maybe im thinking its a kidney infection . i made an apt for 330 pm today . i just cant take no more its been almost 3 wks now .  ive also have been checking my urine to see if theres any blood in it but cant really tell . ive went into a cup to do second uti home kit and the urine was orange  but it sorta looked like it had reddish tint to it . maybe it was just that dark of orange, i dunno . something is wrong here and ive had plenty of uti in the last 9yrs , one time it was bad  to were i was passing straight blood . but didnt know i even had a uti . until i passed the blood. anyways ill update you both and i hope all is well with you too . abd hope your thanksgiving was a good one . prayers are both with you !!!! ..............

I am so very sorry for all you have been through. It seems so unfair for someone your age to have suffered so much already. Please know you are in my prayers and thoughts and I wish you well.

My situation got pretty bad. After going to the doctor and him ordering a cancer screen on mu urine sample I became very ill and for five days had a fever over 102 and much of the time it was 103 and even went higher than 104. I was sicker than I have ever been and I have been sick a lot in my life. I went to Urgent care and they said I was very dehydrated and had a serious kidney infection. They gave me 3 bags of IV fluids and an antibiotic shot but were worried about sending me home. I did go home and that night I still felt as if I were going to die, the Doctor called  a couple of days later and told me it was negative for cancer but it came back positive for a kidney infection which I told him I was aware of and he said I had a serious autoimmune disease. I am not sure what they will do about that. I just want to get better, or at lease feel somewhat better.

Hey Laurie!!!

How are you I just got home from the hospital a four day stay this week three days last week! I got a nephrostomy I thought this would be bad! Catheter in my back and a urine bag but you know what it isnt at all. I am not in as much pain either which is great!! I have to go back and have the stent that I still have in taken out on tuesday!! But hey I am ok. So how are you doing?? What did the dr say!!! Are you Ok??

You are so sweet!!!!!!!! Thank you so much!!! You have no idea how much I appreciate your kindness and how sorry I am about your problem. I went today and had a sonagram and they already called me. I am going to another doctor because they found a small mass. I am scared. So much has happened in my life, but I will handle it!

I am sorry I did not see this until today. How are you feeling. Have you contacted the doctor. I know how you must feel you are scared it is something bad. I know I have been there. Please go to the doctors. I was up all night last night going to the bathroom a million times and each time I go at the very end I can feel the pain from my hands to my feet my pelvic area burns. But I know I have a kidney infection because I have a tube in and I just have had this for so long that I just know when to take the cipro. I also know all about pain meds..I have every last one plus a few others. But believe me when I say I understand your fear I am use to fighting this evil but a new one. I would panic. Thank you so much. I have had urinary infections and know the burning you are talking about, but this is very scary. It  always feels like right before you give childbirth. My pelvic area always has pressure but when I am urinating right towards the end, I have a very serious pain almost makes me scream. I am not knew to pain. My spine is completely ruined. I have bulging disc, protuding dics, one side of my spine has slipped, I have bony growth between my vertabrates that is fusing my spine and I am in terrible pain all the time in spite of taking oxycontin, hydrocodone and soma. I have had every illness, cancer, you name it. I am so scared. I don't think I can go through anything else. I have been crying all day and am afraid to  urinate. Does anyone know if maybe my blader dropped or is this cancer or something. It came on suddenly and started with just a hard time urinating. Thank you so much Charbie. I am just terrified because I have already dealt with so much I can't have another serious thing.

If you are feeling like a sting or burning and it feels like you are still trying to go after you have already went. It maybe a good idea to go see a urologist. I to have had a hysterectomy but I have kidney problems. In what you have said how you are feeling it may even be a bladder infection. You can even go to your PCP and allow them a urine sample but whatever you do please get checked out! If you have anymore questions feel free to email me back. Charbie
