Kidney Stone - CT Scan Report

I have a kidney stone, and few days back I got a sever pain in my abdomen, I have a CT Scan and on CT Scan Report Doctor wrote the following

"a calculus measuring 1.1cm is noted at pelvi-ureteric junction with periureteric fat stranding. Mild dilanation of pelvicaluceal system is noted"

Can some one suggest what this might be. I will be seeing doctor in 2 weeks as he has given me medicine for the time period. (i.e. Maxflow etc)

That means you have a very large kidney stone (calculus) that is slowing the flow of urine. Personally I would not wait 2 weeks to see the doctor.

REGGSenterprises,

I'd guess that the poster made a mistake in the original post and it is the smaller of the two sizes. That's why I answered as I did.

haidinfo,

From what you've said, your doctor is saying that you have a small kidney stone and I'd bet that he/she is figuring that the stone will pass on it's own by the time of your appointment in two weeks. That's why you were given Flo Max as a medication in order to help it pass, hopefully. A stone as small as yours can still hurt but should pass pretty easily on it's own. Please let us know how you are doing

1.1 cm is not a "small" stone
