Period after 15 days

I am 19 and I got my first period when I was 12 years old and ever since I got it, my cycles have not been regular. The number of days between two cycles is usually from 24 days to 35 days. I am not an athlete and I am a virgin. I do not take the pill or any medication.
The number of days between my recent cycles have gone like this: 28 days, 24 days, 29 days, 27 days, 32 days. That never bothered me until today when I got my period after 15 days. I remember getting it after 16 days a few years ago, but then again it didn't bother me. What could it be? Should I go ask my doctor? What should I do?
