High billirubin level 10.6mg/dl

One week ago My brother had billirubin level  =11.9
Sgpt-1880
He is suffering from jaundice for 28 days.
Yesterday his result is
Billirubin=10.6
Sgpt=483

As he is fit and able to take food doc suggest not to admit in nursing home.
But we are tensed how many more days will need to recover.
What he should eat .

Please give the best suggestions.

His hepatitis test result is Negative..
Not sure about gilbert syndrome(where liver is not working properly)..
