Vomiting large egg shaped balls

I have been having a lot of pain and tenderness in my lower left stomach.  I am often nauseous.  Twice in the last week I have suddenly started vomiting and each time I vomit large egg shaped ball ( half the size of an egg).  I fished them out of the toilet each time and they are yellowish white in color.  They are the consistency of a water balloon.  I pinched them open and they contain white mashed potato like stuff inside.  I smelled it and it smells like vomit.  What could this be?

I had the same thing happen to me and I fished it out and brought it in to my doctor.  Immediately he recognized it and said it was mucus that had dried out and kept building up into the form of a small bird egg-like shape with wet mucus on the outside. No known reason this happened to me but it probably had nothing to do with my vomiting that night.  I hope this helps.

So, this same thing happened to me. And I discovered that it was my odorless fish oil pills that I vomited. The enteric coating o the pills make them not dissolve in your stomach to avoid fish smelling burps. I panicked when this happened. But now I know that is was the fish oil pills.

Hi there. I experience the same thing, albeit, smaller in size. Have you found out anything about it? It's quite surprising that this is a med forum and no responses regarding the same. I have searched the net over and over and your experience and description is the closest I've come to my exact experience. Perhaps this forum isn' t really administrated by medical professionals and is just a bogus forum for questions?

This is also happening to me. Does anyone have an answer?
Me too,,, Did you find an answer to what we were throwing up
Yes! And I'm thrilled to be of possible help to you and others as a result of my findings. However, I feel compelled to state I am in no way, shape or form, a medical professional nor student.
In my case, I have GERD, thus I've had vomiting episodes expelling these so called "eggs". Additionally, I have diabetes and take two 500mg of Metformin a day. Trust me, it's relevant.
As a result of the Metformin, I've experienced persistent bouts of diarrhea.
Stay with me here and read on or STOP HERE if you do not take any pills as it could be indicative of entirely different medical conditions other than mine.
One day I noticed the "eggs" floating when I went to flush the toilet. I then realized they were similar to, but slightly smaller than, the size and shape of what I had previously been vomiting. After further online research this is what I've surmised:
The "eggs" are actually the binders of pills. Binders of a pill are non-digestible. They are what hold the active ingredients together.
The "eggs" are en route to your lower intestines and being non-digestible binders they are moving right along thru our GI tracts (just as they were instructed to do). In my case, when I would throw up these "eggs" they were slightly larger than when I defected them, which I'm presuming to be either from stomach acids or due to the active ingredients not having been fully absorbed. Just a presumption, ok? Sooo ... a pills active ingredients, being the part that IS biologically digestible, is absorbed by our system and the binders are then expelled thru one exit or the other. Ta-da!
As I previously mention, I'm not a doctor nor a med student, nor some curious med geek for that matter but my Dr. didn't have an answer and I had to find one. This is MY story and I'm sticking to it! Hope this helps and eases your mind.
This is very plausible. I took 4 x Metformin ER 500mg last night and threw up this morning, and there were four small fatty egg-shaped balls.

Did you go to the doctor?  I’m experiencing the same thing today.  Never in my life have I seen such a thing!  About the size of a medium to small bird’s egg like a Robin.  Opaque white and slimy like a nasty little dumpling but I haven’t ate in more than 24 hours.

What did you do to fix it ?? What did your doctor suggest you? In my opinion, it could be some food made of refined all purpose flour which wasnt digested. You should probably follow gluten free food

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
How are you now? What other symptoms are present? Vomiting may be attributed to a variety of issues  such as infection or food poisoning, and occasionally a result of motion sickness and illnesses in which the person has a high fever.  It can also be a sign of a more serious illness such as concussions, encephalitis, meningitis, intestinal blockage, appendicitis, migraine headaches, and brain tumors. If it persists, it is best that you have this checked by your  doctor for proper evaluation. Take care and do keep us posted.
