Should I worry about lung cancer

I am 25 years old and 27 weeks pregnant. I’ve been having a dry cough and a tickle in my throat from time to time. Sometimes the cough can be bad I do force it sometimes cuz I’m paranoid I did smoke for about a year. Like 3 years ago I stopped and it was weed I never really smoked cigarettes but I did smoke from plastic bottles sometimes. Should I be worried I don’t want to die

Hello, I can understand your concern.  It is unlikely that you have lung cancer, but to make sure, and for your peace of mind, I would see your GP and ask for a chest x-ray, this will show for sure if there is anything sinister going on with your lungs, it is always better to be safe than sorry.

Hello, you were answered a while ago but I wanted to follow up.  While I feel confident you don't describe cancer, I do hope that you spoke to your doctor about your concerns. One of the best things we can do for ourselves and our health is regular annual physicals.  Even with your one year of smoking, you are not in the demographic of concern for someone to have lung cancer.  https://www.cdc.gov/cancer/lung/basic_info/screening.htm  You are younger than usual, have smoked briefly, and it is unlikely you have lung cancer. Here is an overview.  https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/lung-cancer/symptoms-causes/syc-20374620  A dry cough is common.  Here are causes and home remedies. https://www.healthline.com/health/dry-cough  You can copy and paste the links to your browser.  Have you had your baby yet? Please give us an update.
