Feeling ok...wow..

Well I've just got home from a 4 day trip to Spain.  I was worried before going about not feeling well and not being ableto do anything.  But I felt suprisingly good!  I had a few moments of stuff, but for the most part felt half way normal!  My joints and pain level there was pretty much no existent!  I don't know if it was the heat and humidity that helped, or if maybe my abx are kicking in.  I did however have one horrible night where I woke up feeling horribly nauseated and sick.  Had chills/trembles from hell!!  I couldn't stop shaking.  But fell back asleep and felt better the next morning.  Weird.  My pain is stilll feeling a bit better, but the arm weakness is bothering me.

I have an appt today for a follow up with my LLMD.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Wow! It could be weather related if the pain was in the joints.

Glad you had fun. Are you going to pack your bags for good?

Same thing happens to me -- if the timing is right, I can make it through extraordinary stresses like a long distance trip and do just fine.  As wonko says, there is payback when I return, but not too awful for me ... however I try to avoid travelling unnecessarily.

Sometimes I think the heavy psychological burden of Lyme+ is more than I realize, and getting away from the day to day reminders provides welcome relief, tho I would be the LAST person in the world to admit that my own attitude is getting in the way.

I think it's the bugs -- they affect mood so widely and constantly that it's an inextricable part of the disease in my experience.

GOOD FOR YOU!!!  Glad you had a good time -- you deserve it!

I'm glad that you were able to enjoy your trip.  I hope it holds up.  Sometimes, I have the ability to rise to the occasion and push through a few days, but can suffer "payback" after the dust settles.  So if you are still feeling well, you may want to rest and be extra kind to yourself for a bit.  Hopefully that way you won't push yourself into a flare.

Again, great news that the trip went so well, and good luck with the doc.
