I was hoping someone could give me the name of a doctor who is an expert on Lyme Disease in Missouri.  I am in the middle of the state, but am willing to travel.

Hello and welcome to the forum.  Have you been diagnosed with Lyme's Disease?  We're here to help answer any questions.  It can be hard to find the best doctor.  Here is a way to try to narrow it down. https://doctor.webmd.com/find-a-doctor/condition/lyme-disease/Missouri.  Is your primary care physician at all helpful in referring you?  Is your location a high tick area? When it is, you often can get help easier.  There is always the route of seeing specialists like neurologists, infectious disease, rheumatologists.  I would inquire when calling how often they treat Lyme's diseases and if they follow the guidelines developed by the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) for the treatment of Lyme disease and other tick-borne infections.  This is another helpful resource.  https://www.castleconnolly.com/

Thank you so much for your answer.  I have not been diagnosed yet, but am wondering if Lyme's is the cause of my symptoms.  I appreciate your help.
Very happy to try to help.  What kinds of symptoms are you having?
My symptoms are kind of all over the place.  Muscle weakness, tremors, blurred vision, dizziness, night sweats, digestive issues, shortness of breath, brain fog.  I'm probably forgetting some others, but those are the main ones.  I do know that I was bitten by several ticks in the summer of 2018.  I think my symptoms may have started that fall, but I definitely had symptoms in April of this year.  I have gotten worse fairly rapidly since that time.

This sounds very hard on you!  It does sound like the time frame and symptoms match.  Were you able to follow up with the IDSA website to find a physician near you?  Any other infectious disease doctors near you?  Confirmation of lyme disease  would be helpful, wouldn't it?  You never saw the bullseye though from any of your tick bites?

Thanks so much for your reply.  Yes, the symptoms are very hard to deal with.  I have still not been able to find a physician, but am hoping someone will send some information.  There are infectious disease doctors nearby and I may try schedule an appointment with one if I can't find a specialist.  I didn't ever notice a bullseye rash, but I have heard that not everyone gets one.
That is true, not everyone gets them.  Have you been able to see a doctor about this yet?  I really hope you can get a diagnosis or some direction for how to feel better.
