Ah fabulous question. Yes, I try and meditate every day. As a matter a fact when I was a bit younger I would do retreats where you don't speak for days at a time. Ahhhhh the silence ;-) Meditation is a good free source of medicine. I also have a prayer possee - a group of people I can call who all pray when I have a request. I call one person and she contacts the rest of the team. I believe strongly it is this that has kept me going during the harder times when I was riddled with fear and found it hard to communicate what was going on.
You are very kind to suggest meditation. A good reminder for me {{Jasmine}}
I was researching about getting tubes abd ovaries removed and I found a link that linked me here, where I was able to find answers to my questions and have made some good friends to chat with.
I'll keep you in my prayers you get good results back *hugs*
Do you do any meditation at all? I know it tends to help me work through some pain I have..
Hi, I've had a headache for almost a year and many other symptoms. I'm on a wait and watch plan. both are considered small - I just had a mri/mra to check on them and should know something later this week. Thanks for asking ;-)
How are you doing now? What treatments have you decided on for yourself?
I was doing research on aneurysms and pituitary tumors. I was diagnosed with these earlier this year. This has turned out to be one of my favorite places to visit. I have found people to relate to, laugh with and help out which is a good combination.
Was looking for info on withdrawals from "Effexor" meds.. and read some and decided I really wanted to join.
I found MH while searching for reasons of odd oral fixations in toddlers...my son went through a stage where he would seriously lick anything and everything. It was so disgusting. I was searching out answers as to why he wanted to lick everything (thinking maybe he might have a nutritional deficiency) and ways to break the habit.
Well, he didn't have a nutritional deficiency...he's just weird and still likes to lick things every now and then. Thank goodness he's past finding pleasure in licking doorknobs, tile floors, shopping cart handles, and dressing room mirrors. Now he's um, thankfully? limited himself to licking his clothing and chewing on his favorite green blanket.
Anyway, I've been addicted to MH ever since.
Last April I was told I had a mass on my ovary and being scared that I had ovarian cancer I googled for info and it brought me here. When the Ovarian Cyst forum started I moved to there and continue to support people on both the ovarian cancer and cyst sites. I love to cook so joined the healthy cooking forum. I am losing weight so the weight loss and dieting forum has been so helpful. I'm also struggling with my thyroid and find support there. I periodically migrate into other areas as things come up with my husband and son. I can't believe what a big part of my life MedHelp now is.
Crecco,
Oh thank you. He was a little miracle for sure. I just found this one (forum) too actually. One of my cyber-buddies tagged me to do the 5 things about yourself post. Anyway, take care of yourself.
Sharon
Montie,
Thank you! I am doing great all things considered. I think I remember you coming to the forum. My treatments are going well.
I found this forum just a few days ago and thought it sounded great. A place to come and just kick back and have a good time.
Congratulations on the tumor being benign and even more so on the new baby!!
Chris
I found medhelp after my doctor found a tumor on my ovary back in 06. I found the ovarian cancer website (no ovar. cyst forum at that time) made friends and found out a lot of useful info and talked to people going through the same things. I ended up having the tumor (benign) and ovary removed. 7 months later at almost 39 and one ovary, I found out I was pregnant. Holy ****! I then found the 35 and older pregnancy forum (thank God!) and have been here ever since. I still read the ovarian cancer site and check up on people I met there. I check in on the maternal/child, and the preg. 35/older, plus check in on the ovar. cyst forum (still having problems.) I have made friends now and will probably hang around here for a long time.
Crecco,
How are you doing? It's good to see you "out and about". I hope your treatment is going well. You are a very strong and courageous woman.
I stumbled upon medhelp while looking for info on ovarian cancer. I was immediately welcomed to the ovca forum and have been a regular member for a year now.
Ziggysgrl, I am happy to hear that everything turned out well for you.
I found Medhelp with a google search on pregnancy back in july or august and everyone has been so helpful! This site rocks!
I found MH b/c I had an abnormal pap due to high risk HPV. I googled HPV and one of the links led me to Medhelp.
I had a tubal reversal in March 07 and beforehand was looking for others who had it done and then had a successful pregnancy (trying to help make up a decision) . So from very early 2007, I lurked around for a couple months and then when I found out I was pregnant I made my first 'actual' post.
I've found this by doing searches to find online mood trackers. I have had all my moods written in paper for a while, but it's good to have them on a computer, especially for the graphs.
Then I went "oh, a social community I can be in instead of working!", and here I am.
I found MedHelp through Addiction, i had been 'clean' many months before finding this place, but was struggling real bad as i didnt have anyone to talk too about my addiction.
Finding this place has saved me in so many ways!
I found medhelp through a google search for implantation bleeding which was infact a m/c, been here since feb 08
I found Medhelp searching drug withdrawal. I looked over the posts and decided to take the jump and get off pills. I went cold turkey in April 2008 and just celebrated my 5 months clean mark.
I found MedHelp searching for Pregnancy information. I been a member ever since, i believe it was march-April of this year.
I was looking up fibromyalgia and next thing i knew i was here.have a bad memory and found this all to o confusing and still do LOL :)
I found MedHelp while mulling over child behavior. Just reading through all the questions made me realize my son, his progress, my life was nothing out of the ordinary and nothing to worry about. At the same time I felt I could add some of my own experience to the mix. So I stayed.
