All truly deserve recognition but the famous ones such as Mother Teressa and John McCain surely already have that, we already recognise their heroism, don't we? That is not to say they don't deserve to be recognised where and when possible ofcorse they do.
To dominosarah, thankyou for telling us about your dad, I know how it feels to loose someone so close as I lost my mum to cancer when I was young yet old enough to feel the pain.
My dad. He fought the hardest fight of his life when he was diagnosed with brain cancer. The strength and determination he showed thru all of that was just simply amazing and always had a positive attitude. He made it 10 months. What an amazing man he was. I have to go and cry now. sara
John McCain. When he was a POW at the Hanoi Hilton and severely tortured on a daily basis he had an oppertunity to get out, they offered him an early release but he said "no there are others who have been here longer than me and I want them to be released". He stayed and was tortured even more for the next 5 1/2 yrs.
my family ,friends ,even my dog ,they are all hero's in their own right to me ---outside of that circle i would pick st.mother teresa that woman gave her heart to the world.
