Thank you all for your votes and posts...everyone made a lot of sense....many things to think about.
I love it.
But I agree with jollyman: the mall is not the most festive place! I went to the mall by me this past weekend, hoping to take in some good holiday vibes. There were not many decorations, and even less nice ones, and no holiday music at all! Good thing I didn't start singing, or else I'd get into trouble.
I haven't put up any decorations yet. Maybe that will bring me more holiday cheer!
at one time i thought the xmas holidays were the best.. but it has been made into a nightmare, with all the pressure the rushing around the RUDENESS of ppl just blows my mind , one yera my youngest daughter and i were at the mall her mom wa doing some shopping so we were walking around and judt looking at everything aqnd all the ppl, we sat on a bench in the mall and we wrere goofing around singing christmas carols.. and a mall gaurd came up to us and told us we had to stoip we were distrbing ppl shopping.. now i know i am not the best singer, but singiung xmas carols with ur daughter is disrubing the shopper.. that was it for me....
it is a wonderful time of year, but I feel pressured trying to find the right gifts, its hard to please so many people, this year as my boys are all getting older we just bough them each 1 big gift, lap top for the oldest, cell phone with lots of minutes for middle and new monitor and hard drive for youngest....yes we are a high tech family
Most of us love it especially when there kids are home ,for me its all about the children and them having fun, and I do appreciate it is a religious time and respect that also ,I have visited many old churches on Xmas eve night and it truly makes Christmas come alive , there is a magical atmosphere there is no doubt ,and a wonderful feeling of peace. It is very hard on those who have lost someone and estranged people , I wish they would all find somewhere special every year to be, perhaps those old Churches would welcome them, if they would visit them ....on Xmas eve night..
