I especially like these lines:

I tend to feel afraid to leave the house, take chances, take risks... Fear of having a meltdown and feeling lost...  I also tend to feel numb inside, like I should be feeling a lot more than I feel...  Those particular lines speak to me.

The song is about rebirth, being born again.  Being born again is about changing old ways of life and trying a new way of living.

I read Shadow's journal about depression. It sounded like he was expressing the feeling of being trapped inside his own body and wanting to enjoy the life he has, wanting to live and love again, just like the song is about.

I thought maybe he would like this song.
