cake decorators HELP ME!!!

after work im going to go home and make a cake for class tonight.... it our last class and i want to make some kind of "dental" cake, like a tooth, tooth brushes,a smile something related to dental. the Michaels art supply store sells pre made fondant and i wanna try and use it .... i have 6 hours between work and school tonight.....soooooo

who has worked with fondant??....any advise??...is it hard to use??.....and special tips??.....lol HELP!

im going to have fun with it!!....  i already got vanilla frosting does it matter if butter cream or not??.... thought the icing was just to make the  fondant stick to it!.....lol.... yea im going to get a white one and then another on that has neon colors...im doing just a square 13 x 9 cake i think oinly one layer... going to cover it in white and then use the colored fondant and make tooth brushes and other things...... i dont have to use flower or anything when working with it right?.... i will deff ask tator too!

I have fondant in my pantry. Bought it to make ghost for Halloween! I haven't fooled with it. The instructions are pretty simple. If you make one big tooth all you need do is shape your cake layers. Do the shave and shape to the type of tooth. I think you put the fondant over the buttercream frosting on the cake. Just lay the fondant over it. The one I have is white. I think it comes in white and you add color to change it.Good Luck!
