post menopause - what a mess

After being diagnosed with Hashimoto's at 29 years old, i was put on hormone replacement therapy. Large cysts in my breasts made the doctors tell me that i absolutely must get off the hormones. So here i am now at 55, and my body is a mess! I have such bad hair loss that i can see my scalp. The worst part is is that i have such heavy and discoloured discharge that getting my underwear off at night can be painful! Sounds sickening i know, but that's what it is. I've had a culture done and they tell me nothing is wrong. How can nothing be wrong? I'm going bald and i have heavy discharge that is GREEN. I live in Montreal where it is absolutely impossible to get a doctor with our wonderful medical system here. I'm not sure where to turn. Anyone out there have these symptoms?

I knew someone that was having a very bad discharge and odor.....She found out it was some kind of a parasite. She got treatment and is okay now. She was menopausal at the time too.

Have you had the FSH LS estrogen - progestrone panels done on you to see where you are in your stage of life?

I am also having some issues with my homones being Hashimoto? What thyroid medication are you on? Being Hashimoto requires you to remain on the thyroid hormone medication - or trust me - you will feel horrible with hypothyroid symptoms. The thyroid hormones are different than the adrenal or sex hormones - they work together but once one goes haywire - the others will lag too eventually

I can't say I have any discharge you are talking about - but I find very odd things happening with me through the course of the month.

I've just been diagnosed Hashimoto's and in the middle of menopause. The Doc's can't figure what symptom goes with with what. It's very confusing. I have no answers for you. I wish I did! Try the internet for some alternative HRT.

Good luck!
