Crepe Paper skin

I have emphysema, am 77 yrs old and I believe that muscle wasting is occurring now I am getting horrible looking upper arms and just noticed that it is now appearing just above the knees.  I do struggle with oxygen to the body but don't think that has very much to do with it.

It is very sensitive to touch and a blood pressure cuff to the upper arm is excruciating;  I have tried numerous lotions and creams.  Creams and thick lotions are out as it hurts to rub the skin.  I might add that y skin is very thin and tears easily.  This is happened in the last 6 years since I started on meds for COPD. Primary ones are steroids, inhaled and ingested.
Am I just out of luck or is there something that can possibly help me?  Thanks to anyone  replying

Steroids make the skin thin this way.

Hi Hanna

I don't know but have you tried iodine (for dry skin) orally and/or fish oil supplementation?
