Estrogen Dominance

My period has been thinning for months. I did a hormonal imbalance test and it turns out my estrogen level is at 203. The doctor told me to eat healthy, no carbs and no sugar. They also say irregular period is due to stress. I did my research stress leads to high estrogen. So I am guessing that is what causing it to be high. But I also read eating foods with lots of vitamins (ex. Selenium. Melatonin, vitamin b, magnesium,  etc.) helps reduce it. But all this time I've been on a diet and I have been eating all of that. Does not explain why it is still high. What is a normal estrogen level. And what can I do to lower it? I have been eating less carbs, no sugar. And taking multivitamins, vitamin d. And foods that contain all of the vitamins and minerals listed above.

Is your estrogen or estradiol result on your lab report marked as high? Typically, when reporting any lab results, any that are below or above the range are flagged as "L" or "H" / "low" or "high", respectively.

Oh, so then that is wierd. The doctor said it was high, hmm. It should explain why the GYN doctor didn't say anything about it. He only mentioned that my platelet count was low. That was about it, and the period thinning was due to stress. Thank you so much, this makes me feel so much better. I am going to try and do another test to see what the GYN says!

Since you're still having periods, 203 would be considered in the normal range if your lab is using the typical U.S. measurements. For example, one leading lab lists the following ranges:
   Follicular Phase (1-12 days)   90-590 pg/mL
   Luteal Phase  130-460 pg/mL
Postmenopausal  50-170 pg/mL  (not applicable to you)

Do you have a copy of your lab results showing the ranges?

Yes I have a copy of my results. It's hard to understand. I guess I should look under Estradiol. It says mid-follicular phase is 57! So that is low? Mid- luteal is 126. I'm not sure if I am reading it correct because there are 3 numbers and the numbers I've read is under Lower Limit.
