Has menopause ever caused panic attacks or extreme anxiety?

I quit my HRT a couple months ago. Could this be causing a resurgence of my anxiety symptoms??

It certainly could. Anxiety seems to be a pretty common symptom of menopause. It certainly plagued me, along with a long list of debilitating symptoms,  after an unwarranted hysterectomy. I don't even want to think about stopping HRT.

Gradually reducing your HRT dose may have helped your body adjust better.

Actually I did decrease gradually, but I still noticed I wasn't as upbeat, a lot more nervous and I had a sudden onset of anxiety that had been controlled. I reinstated the hrt. I think maybe the benefits outweigh the danger. Thanks for answering.
