Night sweats so bad I can't sleep

I am 47 and went 11 mos. without a period then it came back for 9 mos. but stopped again this past July.  Since July I feel like I could die.  I literally cannot sleep at all because I'm constantly dripping wet from the night sweats.  I have hot flashes off and on throughout the day but the nights are awful.  As a result of the night sweats I'm completely fatigued and cannot think straight at all.  Am I the only person going through these awful night sweats?  I'm beginning to wonder if there is something else wrong with me?  Maybe it's not menopause?  Please reply if you too have or have had these terrible night sweats.  Thank you!

I had terrible night sweats where I would wake up about 7 times a night.  I wasn't getting sleep.  I did that for two weeks straight and then I called the doctor.  She told me to try Estroven so I did.  It started working the first night.  I use it every night.  I don't have night sweats or hot flashes in the day or night at all.

IMO, Anytime you have recurring nightsweats you should get checked out by a doctor.  It is a symptom for other things as well.  It could just be hormones but better safe than sorry!
