well i wish i could shelia im going through the same thing i had surgery this year which required of having all my female parts removed so i truly no what you are going through it really ***** i guess it really depends on the indivual some say about 3 to 4 years i wish mines would stop now
I have been going through the same also....hot flashes with cold sweat then chills, first air conditoner's are on then I turn them off. My family thinks I have lost my marble's. lol I just started this and find it very uncomfortable , find it worse at night so I am loosing sleep. I plan on checking my cvs to see if they have anything for menopause symptom's to take over the counter until I can see a Dr. till then I know I am not alone in this world. lol
i know exactly how u feel im the same but i have thyroid trouble as well so im tired nearly all ther time , but i can be sitting there and then i go all hot and after a feww miniutes i go normal agsin
It all depends on yourself and family history about how long you go through menopause. Some breeze right through it all like nothing and then you have me who suffer's every night lol the bed has become my number one enemy . You can buy stuff to help ease the symptoms at walmart or cvs or any plaace that would sell them .What I would like to know is what do men go through for menopause? lol Think they have it way too easy!
I am going to lose my mind. Not sure why I thought that menopause would be a piece of cake. I was ready for the periods to stop, kids grown, some 'me' time. hahahaha. I only have one hot flash a day - but it lasts for ******** 24 hours. Seriously. My day is spent on a rapid progression between hot and cold and it just does not let up for a second. I cannot sleep at night because of the hot and then freezing cold. I also have lost weight and I was thin to start with - 5'7 about 115 lbs, but I look 6 months pregnant. The gym 2 hours a day does not seem to help. I take soy products, black cohosh, b12, herbal teas of all kind, stopped drinking coffee and alcohol. I have tried accupuncture.
I really did not expect this. My mom said she had one hot flash and that was it. My doctor said this could go on for up to 10 years? Seriously? I don't think so. Half the time I don't see how I can get through another minute more less 10 more years of this.
My doctor does not want to prescribe Clonidine because my blood pressure is low and HRT's are out because of my family history of breast cancer. I honestly think that taking a chance with either would be a better alternative than living in this hell.
I feel like I want to jump out of my skin or off of a bridge.
