Bulge on side of penis

I'm 66 and have recently developed a totally painless bulge about 1 cm diameter on the left side and base of my penis, but it's only evident when erect. It seems to be in the spongy tissue, not in the skin. No sign at all when not erect. No colour. No discomfort. Doesn't affect any function. Any ideas?

It could be a lymphocele, but those are usually seen after sex or masturbation - https://www.healthline.com/health/mens-health/lump-on-penis#lymphoceles

Peyronie's Disease can develop gradually, starting with lumps - plaque that builds up - https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/peyronies-disease/symptoms-causes/syc-20353468

You should check with your doctor to be sure.
