How long after stopping cymbalta will my sex drive return

I have been taking cymbalta over a year. I wasn’t trying to date so not having a sex drive didn’t really matter much. But I met a super hot woman and when the time came bam nothing. I looked the side effects up and seen that indeed it was a side effect. I quit taking it and want to no how long it takes to be normal again

Did you wean down on the medication?  That's the right way to discontinue antidepressants.  And tell your doctor about it too.  Cymbalta is one of the harder medications to discontinue and withdrawal can be difficult.  But once it is fully out of your system, side effects associated with it should become less and less until it is fully gone.  How long has it been since you stopped the med?  That is key.

Also, there are other depression medications that work with fewer side effects. Talk to your doctor if you still need help with that  Remeron with Wellbutrin is a combination that has few sexual side effects and works pretty well that I've read about.  But know that untreated depressed can cause sexual issues all on its own.

Here's a run down on Cymbalta side effects.  https://www.webmd.com/drugs/2/drug-91491/cymbalta-oral/details/list-sideeffects

By the way, congrats on the hot lady!  Hope it all comes together for you soon.
