How to solve lack of sex drive/libido, as a teen

I am 16, I would say I have had an average sex drive in past years up until about 3 moths ago. I met someone and we have got into a serous relationship but my sex drive has seemed to wain and almost disappear. Even before I met my girlfriend, I had no driving driving desire sexually like in previous years. I had not masturbated for about a month prior to meeting her, the desire does just no longer seem to be there in its original form. I don't even get morning wood anymore, there have been very few times that i have felt truly sexually driven with my girlfriend. I would love to get back to the way I used to feel, especially as my girlfriend has a high sex drive. Recently even the littlest things; moving slightly a sound or talking have caused problems downstairs. If I stop and think about what I am doing there is no driving desire my mood seams to deflate like a burst balloon and I sink back into a truly undriven state. I'm not sure if this is a phycological or psychological problem but I am at a loss of what to do about it. I have talked to my girlfriend about it and she is incredibly understanding, she suggested I an nervous. Maybe that is true, I used to have allot less problems. But now I get nervous about nothing happening, and nothing happens witch is causing a problem of its own. Although she loves me dearly, I can see this problem is making her feel insecure about my attraction to her, even causing her to sometimes after we have had an amazing day out to think that she is not good enough to me. I truly value and love my girlfriend and this as well as her is causing me destress as I feel embarrassed and emasculated. I would really like to resolve the problem but I'm not sure how to go about it. Any constrictive help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Truly, your psychological state and anxiety can affect things.  Anyone with depression or anxiety will tell you that libido can be affected.  Hormone levels too can play a role.  Do you think you have an issue with anxiety in other areas too?  Would a counselor be beneficial to you do you think?

I'm not too sure, I may have more anxiety than other people. My girlfriend tells me sometimes not to worry about things. I have in the pass being I would say quit anxious. I have recently moved school to a bigger comprehensive, I have had to worry about making friends and fitting in, definitely I'm sure recently I have been more anxious as a result of that. I ADD so my brain is always analysing thinking about things, I'm not sure if that would aggravate problems. I do tend to become worked up about not revising enough for a test ect… rational thinking in some circumstances eludes me to just becoming stressed at not working. I think maybe talking to someone might be beneficial, I have considered it but I'm not really sure where to turn. I really have started here just to try and gain an insight into how to tackle the problem. Thanks for the reply!

You do sound like someone that is trying to cope with a lot of anxiety.  That's bound to put a damper on your sexual urges and performance at times.  Do  you get any exercise or have any let down time to just relax and not worry about school and social things?

I think you might be right, having read up about it I do seem to exhibit quite a few characteristics of being anxious. Most days I do exercise, I go out on my bike for a good while. I don't really have too much down time to clear my head. After my excersize I work until bed and then let the cycle repeat. I am an awfully inefficient worker and I am often tired from by excersize witch subtracts from my efficiency at getting though my workload. When I come home I do tent to have a cup of tea and relax for a little bit before heading out but I would say that my only time really doing nothing. I try to forget about things when I'm on my bike but my brain is always working so often I find myself thinking allot.

Garlic and honey will not fix ANYTHING, except a desire to consume garlic and honey.

Honestly I have this problem too. I rarely have a sex drive but honestly it’s not such of a bad thing to have. If you mastutbate, try to go a little without it. Also porn (if you watch it) could also have an effect on sex drive due to the fantasy it creates of how people should act and look. It could make real life feel a little
boring.
