Nipples hurting-Male

hi..
I m a guy and i m 18 yrs old and sometimes my nipples hurts and sore.... it actually happened before also when i was 17.
When the first time it happened i experienced a flow of water also and i m also an athlete and basketball player too.
In between when an all workouts gets tougher it pains a lot and it hurts even bad when my dress touches to it.
I asked about this to my coach also, he just asked whether i had gay sex... but i didn't and he also asked that i had  anything with the girls when i was young and it is true also...
I had just kissed a girl's lips and nipples when i was young and i hope so it is not because of it....
I asked another fitness coach too and he asked both these questions too....
Please let me know an easy and meaningful answer and a way to cure it.

Hi,
No need to worry, as it usually happens at your age and will subside in course of time with proper exercise and balanced food intake.
Also large intake of the high protein food items like Soya and some herbal supplements  also may promote gynecomastia, as they contain plant estrogen. You may consult a dietician for a planned diet and better health.
As I have already mentioned, it is always better at your age to have a check done on your hormone levels by consulting an Endocrinologist.

In the mean time, be happy and stop worrying.

Good luck,

Your clothing might be rubbing your nipples causing the sensitivity.

Hi,
It is quite common for teenage boys to have such problems due to high estrogen levels and they normally get set after this phase. Do you also have breast enlargement?
Reduction of excess fat intake, doing regular exercise etc. will help to some extent. However, some of your symptoms may be also due to a high level prolactin and may need some simple medical treatment. In any case, it is a good idea to consult an endocrinologist for an expert opinion.
